The Splendid Baizhang Waterfalls

The First Waterfall (Yi Ji): Nature’s Thunderous Display

Standing at a towering height of 207 meters (about 680 feet), this waterfall is famously referred to as the "Number One Waterfall in China." The water cascades vertically from the cliff, creating a thunderous roar and mesmerizing bead-like splashes. The surrounding mountains form awe-inspiring shapes, resembling a soaring hawk, a towering rock, or a sail gliding on water.

The Second Waterfall (Er Ji): A Natural Curtain

With a height of 85 meters (about 280 feet), this waterfall splits into two folds by a rock corridor. Its cascading waters resemble a curtain, earning it the name "Huaguoshan Water-Curtain Cave." The sable cliff and natural formations provide a captivating spectacle.

Measuring 12 meters (about 40 feet) in height and more than 80 meters (about 260 feet) in width, this waterfall forms a shallow pond of about 2 mu (0.3 acres). The area is surrounded by unique rock formations, often accompanied by birdsong, creating a tranquil environment. The waterfall clusters are celebrated for their unique characteristics: 100 zhang (approximately 1093 feet) high, 100 zhang deep, and 100 zhang wide.
